About Bewitching Bakes

Bewitching Bakes is a licensed and inspected residential bakery in Massachusetts, specializing in 100% gluten-free baked goods.

Our kitchen is fully dedicated gluten-free, with no wheat flour in the kitchen and no shared equipment with gluten-containing baking. Our baker has been gluten-free for 17 years and built this kitchen around the kind of care and standards she would want for herself.

Everything we make is also free from artificial dyes. We use plant-based and naturally derived colors instead. We also have experience accommodating dairy-free and vegan needs, and many items can be custom ordered that way.

Meet the baker

Bewitching Bakes was founded by Lia, a lifelong baker, creative spirit, and lover of rich flavors, beautiful desserts, and old-world kitchen magic.

After needing to transition to a gluten-free diet in 2009, Lia quickly realized how difficult it was to find gluten-free baked goods that truly felt special. Too often, the options were dry, overly sweet, crumbly, or simply felt like a compromise. So she began adapting and creating recipes herself, determined to make gluten-free desserts that were every bit as indulgent, nostalgic, and crave-worthy as traditional baking.

Inspired by patisserie counters, cottage kitchens, botanical flavors, and seasonal ingredients, Lia creates small-batch desserts that blend comfort, artistry, and a touch of enchantment. From dark chocolate cookies and delicate cakes to fruit-filled pastries and naturally colored confections, every item is made with careful attention to flavor, texture, and detail.

When she’s not baking, Lia can usually be found surrounded by books, plants, herbs, or dreaming up new seasonal flavors for the menu.

Permits & safety

Our kitchen is licensed and inspected by the local Board of Health under Massachusetts retail residential kitchen regulations.

Ingredient and allergen information is provided on every product listing based on the actual ingredients in each recipe, so customers can make informed choices with confidence. If you have a severe allergy, please share the details at checkout or drop us a note before ordering.

How it works

  • Weekly menus. Each week we open a fresh menu in the shop with a few featured items. You order during the open window, and we bake to demand.
  • Pickup or delivery. Pickup is available during scheduled time slots. Delivery is not currently available.
  • Off-menu? For custom cakes, special occasions, or items you've seen us make before that aren't on this week's list, use the special request form. We'll follow up with availability, pricing, and timing.
